Workers' Comp · Personal Injury

We've been beating insurance companies for 30 years.

California law entitles you to medical care, lost wages, disability pay, and a final settlement. Insurance companies make every benefit a fight. For three decades, we've made the fight short — three local offices, partner-run, fully bilingual, with a track record adjusters in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Ventura already know to take seriously.

Unless We Win
If You've Just Been Hurt

Here's what the insurance company is about to do.

The check arrives fast. The fairness doesn't.

  • Call you within 48 hours — sounding friendly, sounding helpful — to get a recorded statement they'll use against you later.
  • Send a "fair" first offer that covers a fraction of the medical care, lost wages, and long-term costs you're actually entitled to under California law.
  • Send you to one of their doctors whose job description includes minimizing what you're owed.
  • Quietly run out the clock on filing deadlines you didn't know existed, hoping you settle before you understand what your case is actually worth.

None of this is a misunderstanding. It's the playbook. We've been reading it for 30 years — and we know exactly how to answer it.

The Method

The Central Coast Standard.

Big out-of-town firms treat your case like a file number. Corporate firms keep you on hold. Solo lawyers can't carry the caseload. The Central Coast Standard is the way we've built — four commitments that 30+ years of fighting in these specific courtrooms has made non-negotiable.

You talk to a partner.

Every case is reviewed by Bill or Kyle directly — not passed off to a case manager you'll never meet. When you call, you reach the attorney working your claim.

Bilingual by design — not by translation.

Every staff member, every attorney, every court filing — fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Nothing gets lost in interpretation, because nothing is being interpreted.

We know the adjusters by name.

Three decades of working Central Coast cases means we know which adjusters lowball medical, which defense firms play hardball, and which judges are fair in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and Ventura. That's leverage no out-of-town firm can fake.

Three walk-in offices. Zero barriers.

Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Calabasas. Walk in during business hours — no appointment required, no forms to fill out first. Your immigration status stays confidential. Your case stays local.

Who We Represent

We represent the people who
keep the Central Coast running.

Our client base reflects the Central Coast economy. We know the specific injuries, insurance tactics, and claim patterns in every one of these industries — because we've handled thousands of them.

Construction site
Construction

Built the Central Coast. Broken on the job.

Falls, crush injuries, power tool accidents, back and spine injuries on job sites from Santa Barbara to Paso Robles. We know which subcontractors carry which carriers — and which adjusters lowball medical.

Vineyard worker
Farm Labor & Ag

Wine country runs on this labor.

Heat illness, pesticide exposure, equipment injuries, and repetitive-motion claims across vineyards and Central Valley ag operations. Immigration status does not affect your right to workers' comp. Ever.

Caregiver / nurse
Healthcare & IHSS

Caregivers who get hurt caring.

Nurses, caregivers, and IHSS workers injured lifting patients, slipping in facilities, or exposed to workplace hazards. IHSS claims have specific filing rules most firms don't know.

Hotel housekeeper
Housekeeping

Chronic injuries. Dismissed claims.

Hotel housekeepers and domestic workers with chronic back, shoulder, and repetitive-stress injuries. Employers often dismiss these as "just getting old." They're not. They're compensable.

Landscaping crew
Landscaping

Equipment, chemicals, ladders.

Equipment injuries, chemical exposure, falls from ladders, and musculoskeletal claims. Common among independent crews where workers' comp coverage is often disputed.

Restaurant / hospitality
Service Industry

Burns, slips, repetitive strain.

Restaurant workers, retail, hospitality — slip injuries, burns, and repetitive-motion claims. We handle tipped-wage lost-income calculations the way most firms don't.

Our Approach

Three steps.
That's it.

We know the legal process feels overwhelming. We keep it simple — so you can focus on getting better.

Call us for a free case review.

No cost, no pressure, no obligation. Tell us what happened. We'll tell you honestly whether you have a case — and what it's worth.

We take on the insurance company.

You focus on healing. We handle the paperwork, the phone calls, the medical coordination, and the legal fight. Most clients never have to set foot in court.

You collect what you're owed.

Medical bills paid. Lost income recovered. Settlement negotiated. If there's no recovery, you pay nothing — we only get paid when you do.

Common Questions

Questions we hear every day.

How much does it cost to hire Wolff Walker?
Nothing up front. We work on contingency — we only get paid if we win your case. Your initial case review is free, and we cover case expenses until recovery.
Will my immigration status affect my case?
No. Under California law, every worker injured on the job has the right to workers' compensation benefits, regardless of immigration status. The same protections apply to personal injury claims. Your information stays confidential between you and our firm.
How long do I have to file a claim?
For workers' compensation, you generally must report the injury to your employer within 30 days and file a claim within one year. For personal injury, California's statute of limitations is typically two years from the date of injury. Don't wait — the earlier you contact us, the stronger your case.
What if my employer fires me for filing a claim?
That's illegal. California Labor Code 132a protects workers from retaliation for filing workers' comp claims. We pursue those claims aggressively and can secure additional damages on top of your underlying case.
Do I have to go to court?
Most of our cases settle without trial. Insurance companies know our track record — and they know what we're willing to do if a settlement falls short of what our client is owed. If trial becomes necessary, we have the experience and resources to take your case all the way.
What languages do you speak?
Every staff member and attorney is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. We handle documents, phone calls, and in-office meetings entirely in either language. No third-party interpreters.
How much is my case worth?
Every case is different. In a free case review, we look at your medical records, lost wages, and the specific facts of your case to give you an honest evaluation of what to expect — and what insurance is likely to try to offer.
What if I already accepted a settlement offer?
In some cases, settlements can be reopened or supplemented — particularly if your medical condition has worsened or if you signed something without legal advice. Call us. It's free to find out.
